DAVID GIDDY'S ISLAND INSIGHTS "Each of us is drawn to Salt Spring Island for our own personal reasons.The Island offers numerous visual treasures for those who look. As a resident I have had the opportunity to explore and record some of my favorite places and would like to share some of them with you."

02. Mt.Maxwell Splendor The view from the top of Mt. Maxwell is absolutely stunning and forever changing.
03. Musgrave Cathedral Some friends and I were on the road to Musgrave Landing when Adrienne said stop the car I have to get this shot. She was right this was a must shot. If you are looking for a place to worship this would be a good start. Nature has a way of showing off on Salt Spring.
04. OCEAN SHORELINE This is one of my favourite shots of a typical Salt Spring shoreline. The ruggid rocks exposed at low tide with the clear waters at their feet.The magestic Arbutus profiled against a changing sky completes the magic of the island.
05. Mt. Baker Visitors and residence alike are stunned by the show Baker puts on. When introducing people to view properties on the island they are sure to ask if you can see Mt. Baker
06. Sansum Narrows This shot was taken from Mt. Maxwell and overlooks Burgoyne Bay, Sansum Narrows and in the distance Cowichan Bay.
07. VILLAGE OF FULFORD This is a great little funky village. It is this rural look which attracts many people to Salt Spring.
08. MOSSY KNOLL A walk through the Tswout Reseve reveals some delightful scenery. This is typical West Coast
09. GANGES HARBOUR This is a great backdrop to the village of Ganges.It makes for good people watching as many of the rich and famous come to this harbour to enjoy the island.
10. CAPE KEPPLE WATERFALL For a great afternoon walk try going along the stream. You will see some great country.
11. MT BAKER UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL Sometimes when the conditions are right Baker seems like its twice the size and is in your backyard. What a landmark.
12. THE ANIMAL FARM We have all seen this comical scene. I cannot stop thinking of The Animal Farm with the goat holding court as the other animal consider the fate of the world. Whenever I drive by I am always looking for a better shot of the delightful scene
